You send the engine specs and goals. We run a 1D-style modeling workflow and deliver a clear report with estimated power, curve tendencies, and combo recommendations.
For serious racers, engine builders and shops who want data-driven decisions instead of guesswork.

What Is 1D Engine Simulation?

In OEM and high-level motorsports, engineers use 1D engine models to study airflow, pressure waves, cam timing and torque behavior before they ever fire an engine.

Instead of buying complex software, you send us your engine specs and goals. We apply a 1D-inspired modeling approach that considers displacement, compression, airflow, cam timing, boost, fuel and exhaust, then return:

Services

Planning a new build, revising an old one, or trying to choose between parts? 1D Simulation gives you a modeled starting point so your decisions are more informed.

Full Engine Simulation Report

$249 – Per Engine

A complete 1D-style evaluation of your engine combination.

  • Estimated horsepower & torque shape (low, mid, top)
  • Volumetric efficiency trend by RPM (tendencies)
  • Airflow & restriction analysis
  • Cam, intake & exhaust compatibility check
  • Recommended changes to better hit your goal

Combo Check & Power Estimate

$129 – Existing Parts

Already have a parts list? We’ll evaluate how it should behave.

  • Power estimate range based on your combo
  • Identification of weak links (heads, cam, intake, etc.)
  • Suggestions to balance the setup
  • Ideal before machine work or final purchases

Turbo / Supercharger Match

$149 – Per Setup

Match your boost device to displacement, RPM band and usage.

  • Boost range & drive ratio guidance
  • Expected power band tendencies
  • Spool / response vs peak power tradeoffs
  • Suggestions if you’re over or under-sized

Cylinder Head & Airflow Review

$149 – Per Engine

Evaluate how heads, cam and intake work together.

  • Head & valve size suitability for the goal
  • Port flow vs cam duration & lift tendencies
  • Intake runner and plenum style considerations
  • Street, strip or endurance-focused suggestions

Diesel Tow & Work Simulation

$179 – Tow / Work Use

Model torque and usable RPM for real-world diesel applications.

  • Tow-power vs EGT & stress balance
  • Turbo sizing for tow or mixed-use
  • Power band around actual working RPM
  • Upgrade suggestions that support the job

Strategy Call (Builder Support)

$75 – 20 Minutes

Talk through a combo or report before you commit.

  • Clarify modeling results and options
  • Discuss parts choices and tradeoffs
  • Align build plan with real-world use
  • Ideal for shops & serious racers

Supported Platforms

If it’s a piston engine with known specs, we can usually model it.

LS / LT (4.8 / 5.3 / 6.0 / 6.2)
Small Block Chevy (SBC)
Big Block Chevy (BBC)
Gen III Hemi (5.7 / 6.4 / Hellcat)
Ford Coyote / 5.0
Ford Modular & Pushrod
Duramax / Powerstroke / Cummins
2JZ / RB / K-Series / B-Series

How It Works

Step 1
Send Your Specs & Goal
You provide engine platform, displacement, compression, cam details (if known), head & intake, exhaust, boost or nitrous, vehicle, weight and power goal.
Step 2
We Run 1D-Style Modeling
We apply a 1D-inspired modeling workflow to evaluate airflow, power potential, VE tendencies and combo balance across relevant RPM points within realistic assumptions.
Step 3
You Get a Clear Report
You receive a readable report outlining expected behavior, combo strengths/weaknesses, and recommended changes so you can build, revise or validate with more confidence.

Pricing Overview

No software license. No learning curve. You’re paying for simulation time and interpretation, not a program you’ll use twice.

For engine shops and teams needing recurring reports, ask about builder or team pricing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the same style of modeling pro teams use? We’re using a 1D-inspired approach—the same general style of physics-based reasoning that underpins tools used in OEM and higher-level motorsports engine work.
Do I still need a real dyno? A real dyno is always the final word, especially for tuning. 1D Simulation helps you start from a more informed place so you waste less time and money getting there.
Do you need my car or engine in person? No. Everything we do is based on your measurements, known parts and engine data. You keep your hardware; we evaluate the combination.
Is this a tune or ECU file? No. We’re not writing ECU files. We’re modeling how the hardware combination is likely to behave so expectations are more realistic before tuning or racing.
What if I don’t know every detail of my parts? The more you can provide, the better. If something’s unknown, we work within reasonable assumptions and call that out in the report.
Can engine builders or shops use this with customers? Yes. Shops use modeling to justify combos, explain expectations and avoid unrealistic promises. Contact us if you’d like to integrate reports into your process.
